Bio

Ms. Betty Apun is a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong track record in administrative roles. Combining her academic background in Human Resource Management and Business Administration with over seven years of experience, she possesses a well-rounded skillset applicable to various administrative contexts. Ms. Apun demonstrates a commitment to excellence, exemplified by her proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize workloads, and ensure smooth departmental operations. Her experience ranges from leadership within the public sector to supporting senior officials in academia and the private sector. Ms. Apun is confident that her skills and qualifications align perfectly with the objectives of the Huduma Fellowship program.

Ms. Apun is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Makerere University, which reflects her commitment to continuous learning and career development. Her prior academic achievements include a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management, a Bachelor of Human Resource Management, a Certificate in Administrative Officers’ Law, and certifications in secondary education.
Ms. Apun’s is currently working as an Administrative Officer at the Leadership Code Tribunal. Here, she has refined her leadership capabilities by overseeing various administrative functions, including budgeting, managing staff, fleet management and facilitating departmental activities. Her responsibilities encompass planning and coordinating meetings, managing resources, and ensuring the efficient utilization of the organization’s assets.

Previously, Ms. Apun served as an Administrator at Grow Well (U) Limited where she played a key role in financial management, ensuring accurate tax invoicing and stock control. Her experience extends to the academic sector, where she served as an Administrative Assistant in the Vice Chancellor’s Office at Busitema University. There, she demonstrated exceptional organizational skills by managing communication channels, drafting reports, and supporting the Vice Chancellor in various administrative tasks.
Her key skills and attributes include strong leadership and interpersonal skills, proficiency in planning, budgeting, and resource management, excellent communication and report writing abilities, ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently, proven experience in administrative operations management, and commitment to professionalism, integrity, and continuous learning.
