Daraus is a public health specialist working with the Ministry of Health, Uganda. In this role, he engages in designing, implementing monitoring and evaluation of disease control and prevention interventions, projects and campaigns.

He has previously worked with the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance as a Communications Assistant, and also worked as an Education Officer with the Ministry of Education and Sports, assigned with planning, assessment, and evaluation of the learning process.
